Hi there! My name is Kyle Staples (He/Him), and I am a counsellor at Innerlogue Therapy and Psychology. My professional journey has been diverse, including experience supporting neurodivergent individuals as well as providing mental health and addictions support in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. These roles have deepened my understanding of the complexities of mental health and strengthened my commitment to creating a compassionate and inclusive therapeutic space.
I am passionate about working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, family dynamics, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the everyday stressors of life. As a Chinese Canadian, I bring a culturally informed perspective to my work, recognizing how identity and cultural context shape mental health experiences. I am also deeply committed to supporting men’s mental health and understanding the unique barriers men may face when seeking help. My background in high-level competitive sports has deepened my understanding of these challenges and allows me to empathize with individuals facing cultural expectations to display strength and resilience.
I believe in the power of empathy and active listening to create meaningful change. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where individuals from all backgrounds feel heard, supported, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges.
I look forward to hearing your story and discovering what makes you, you.
