Dr. Brittany Travis
I am a Registered Psychologist with over 17 years of experience working alongside children, adolescents, adults, and families. My practice is grounded in creating affirming, culturally safe, and neurodiversity-informed spaces where clients feel understood, respected, and supported.
I provide comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, including assessments for learning disorders, ADHD, autism, giftedness, and twice-exceptionality (2e). I have a particular interest in identifying complex profiles in which giftedness coexists with ADHD, autism, learning differences, or other areas of challenge.
My approach to assessment is collaborative, transparent, and strengths-based. I believe an assessment should do more than identify areas of difficulty; it should also help individuals understand their unique strengths, needs, and ways of experiencing the world. Whether you are seeking clarity about learning differences, neurodivergence, mental health, or an overall pattern of strengths and challenges, my goal is to provide meaningful insights and practical recommendations that support self-understanding and meaningful next steps at school, at work, and in daily life.
In counselling, my primary areas of focus are supporting neurodivergent and gender- diverse individuals. I offer an affirming space for clients to explore identity, emotional regulation, relationships, self-advocacy, and the experience of navigating environments that may not always recognize or accommodate who they are. My approach honours each person’s lived experience and focuses on building self-understanding, confidence, and strategies that work with, not against, their individual needs.
I strive to create a supportive environment where you and your family can openly explore your questions and concerns. Recognizing the importance of a good fit between psychologist and client, I encourage you to book a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can connect and discuss your needs.
