Eloida Llanes
Eloida Llanes is a counselling professional and registered nurse in Alberta with more than 12 years of experience supporting children, youth, couples, and families. Her background in both nursing and counselling allows her to bring clinical knowledge, a holistic perspective, and a calm, compassionate presence to her work.
Eloida supports clients through life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, stress, and complex family dynamics. She uses a culturally informed, strengths‑based approach and draws from Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, motivational interviewing, and restorative practices.
During her time as a Counsellor Intern with Kindred Connections Society, Eloida completed intake assessments, provided individual and family counselling under supervision, and worked closely with community partners to ensure clients received consistent, coordinated care. Her experience across school, community, and healthcare settings has strengthened her ability to support clients facing crisis, adjustment difficulties, immigration‑related stress, and family challenges.
Her counselling style is grounded in trauma‑informed and culturally responsive care. Eloida strives to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered as they work toward healing, resilience, and meaningful change.
