Tetyana Pavlyna
Hi, my name is Tetyana. I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) with a background in healthcare and experience working within the education system. These experiences have shaped my awareness of how emotional well-being is influenced by both personal and environmental factors, including family, school, cultural background, and broader life contexts.
My approach is grounded in the belief that people are the experts in their own lives, and that healing and growth happen within the context of a safe, supportive, and collaborative relationship. I strive to meet clients where they are at, creating space for exploration, reflection, and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.
I draw on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), alongside a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens. I also incorporate elements of recreation therapy, using creative and experiential approaches to support emotional expression, self-awareness, and resilience.
I work with youth, adults, and couples experiencing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum-related challenges, life transitions, immigration-related stress, and relationship difficulties.
At the heart of my work is connection. I aim to support clients in better understanding themselves, strengthening coping strategies, and building a greater sense of confidence and well-being in their daily lives.
